Customer Reviews: Nice Little Notebook July 31, 2010 DW (Yelm, WA) I purchased the Acer Aspire AS5740-5255 for my wife and she is really pleased with it. Very responsive and agile. Have no complaints with this puchase and would recommend this product.
Eh! June 10, 2010 Daniel Faria (Indianapolis, IN) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this computer for my dad. He is not a computer genius so he just needed something that would help him with email, word, and other common tasks.
The good: comes with windows 7 loaded. Which is better than anything else made by microsoft
The bad:
The keyboard id no good. Hard to type and weird design
The mouse is worse. It has the gestures pad, which doesn't always obey your commands
The mouse button is super hard, you will need to workout your fingers before using it.
But the worst thing about is that it comes with NO CDs. nothing. Not a recovery CD not or the windows 7 CDs. Nothing.
Not to mention that it comes preloaded with tons of free trials (which we all know aren't really free).
